New Idea b/c Broken Waveshield//Mae and Chloe

Chloe and I received our second Waveshield today in the mail, and once again, it does not work at all.  We resoldered the new one, following all the step by step instructions, and still it doesn't work when we attach it to the arduino.  We are wondering if the issue is related to the Arduino itself. Maybe the female parts that allow the Waveshield to attach are broken?

We are switching back to what we worked on yesterday with the program Dom recommended. Here is a picture of our audio in code--so long!
