As computing becomes more ubiquitous in our objects, designers need to be more aware of how to design meaningful interactions into electronically enhanced objects. At the University of Washington, a class of junior Interaction Design majors is exploring this question. These pages chronicle their efforts.

Troubles with Circuitry by Freistadt/Hart

We've spent the past couple days trying to figure out issues with our power/circuitry/components. The NeoPixels lit up entirely when we first plugged them in, but after several more uses, they have been giving a variety of responses. Chris rewired our circuitry several times, but there has still been issues including the wiring melting, NeoPixels not getting enough power, color deficiencies in the NeoPixels, and NeoPixels that are blown. We will continue to try to figure out the issues, but have made several trips to RadioShack and Metrix. Eric has ordered a back up NeoPixel strip from Adafruit in case of an emergency where we do not get it to work.
