As computing becomes more ubiquitous in our objects, designers need to be more aware of how to design meaningful interactions into electronically enhanced objects. At the University of Washington, a class of junior Interaction Design majors is exploring this question. These pages chronicle their efforts.

Processing Assignment 1

In the Processing Assignment I chose to use Inheritance. This was on a grey background that had 2 circles spinning in conjunction with a line rotating at the same pace.

My new edit is on a blue background with the circles and line rotating at different speeds. Since the .gifs seem to be looping at the same time it is hard to tell that the two shrunken circles were brought off of the center axis and the speed has increased by 3x. However, since the speeds of the inner circle and outer circle are rotating at different times, they create brief visual patterns of triangles, squares and even stars.
